This coffee is grown in Heredia in the Central Valley region of Costa Rica. The Poas, Irazu and Barva volcanoes dominate the landscape in this traditional growing area. The temperate averages 77 Fahrenheit. The rain is quite evenly distributed throughout the winter season accumulating nearly 87”.  The altitude of the region ranges for about 3900’ to 5250’. The main types of coffee are Caturra and Catuai. The bean are harvested in December and January with first shipments arriving in February running through June.

In the cup:
Good body and acidity featuring bright citrus-berry tones, consistent, clean tasting and very well balanced with hints of chocolate and spice flavors in the finish.
